Charlotte Hornets select Hannes Steinbach with the 14th overall pick
The German forward brings international experience and much needed rebounding help
The Charlotte Hornets have selected Hannes Steinbach with the 14th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
While Hannes Steinbach was a Freshman at The University of Washington he averaged 18.5 points and 11.8 rebounds under head coach Danny Sprinkle.
The selection addresses Charlotte’s need at the forward position. He played professionally in Germany before coming to Washington. His father was actually a teammate of NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki.
